Brea “Lefty” Workman is a Junior and in the Architecture field. She chose this praxis for the design to construction sequence. “I'm very excited to be a part of the relationship with the Lama Foundation and to be a part of something bigger.  I've wanted to be an architect ever since I was 8 years old. I went on a class field trip to the business district of Denver and fell in love with the gigantic buildings that had particular details engraved in them. I remember looking up at the structures and marveling at the concept that human beings built them by hand and took the care and time into making the details beautiful and pleasing to look at. When I returned home, I told my grandfather about my discovery. He explained that it is typically the architect's job to make the building a thing worth gazing at. From then on I knew I too wanted to make something big and worth gazing at. After going through this ENVD program, my focus has shifted to making structures that are both aesthetically pleasing and also sustainable to the environment they are anchored within.”
